Dennis Samuel Adkins - L.Cpl - QR West Surrey Regt In most sources Dennis is found as ATKINS.  Dennis was both born and resided in Yardley Gobion, but enlisted in Towcester.  He had previously served as 22659 in the Northamptonshire Regt., and later in the Queens, Royal West Surrey Regt., as L/Cpl. G/10202.  He died of wounds on 29 July 1916 and is remembered at St. Andre Communal Cemetery,
Frederick James Adkins - Pte - Oxon & Bucks LI The son of Mrs Eleanor Adkins of Yardley Gobion,  Frederick was born in Yardley Gobion, lived in Stoney Stratford and lived in Wolverton. Frederick served in the Oxon and Bucks  LI as Pte., 13260.  He was KIA on 9 May 1917 aged 24 in the Salonican theatre of war.  He is remembered on the Doiran Memorial, Greece
Frederick Henry I Bliss - Pte - 23rd Middlesex Regt Frederick was born in Yardley Gobion in 1871.  He lived in Tottenham around 1901 where he was employed as a builders labourer and enlisted at Mill Hill, where he joined the Duke of Cambridge's Own as G/11667.  He was KIA on 15 September 1916 and is remembered at Guards' Cemetery, Lesboeufs.
Harold Cross - Pte - Northants Regt Harold, the son of John Henry Cross of  Yardley Gobion, enlisted in Northampton into the  Northamptonshire Regt., as 3748.  He died of wounds while at sea on 14 November 1915. He is remembered along with over 2000 other casualties from Commonwealth countries.
Sidney Glenn - Pte - 6th Northants Regt Sydney was born in Yardley Gobion and enlisted in Northampton.  He served in the Northamptonshire Regt., as 13204.  He died on 14 July 1916 and is remembered alont with many other Commonwealth casualties on the Thiepval Memorial memorial to the missing from the Somme battles
Donald Henry Henson - P/Sgt - RAFVR Donald served as a1877101 Sergeant Air Gunner in the RAFVR.  He died on 8 March 1945 and is remembered at Becklingen War Cemetery
John Charles Key - Pte - Seaforth Highlanders John was the son of John Charles and Mary Jane Key of Yardley Gobion.  He served in the Seaforth Highlanders as Pte 154076.  John died on 31 July 1944 aged 26 and is remembered at Tilly-sur-Seulles War Cemetery
Arthur Henry Leach - Tpr - Royal Tank Regt Arthur from Yardley Gobion was the son of Thomas Henry and Hilda Leach.  He served as Trooper 7904439.  He died on 14 September 1944 aged 22 and is remembered at Gradara War Cemetery
Alan Linnell Taylor - Lieut - RAOC Alan Linnell Taylor, AMIAE (Assoc. Member of the Institute of Automobile Engineers ), was the son of Francis William and annie Taylor and husband of Nancy Franklin Taylor from Yardley Gobion.  He served as Lieut., 119327 and died on 20 May 1941 aged 41 and is remembered at Suda Bay War Cemetery, Greece along with over 700 other casualties
Alwyn Johnson - Pte - East Surrey Regt Alwyn served in the East Surrey Regt., as Pte., 26007. He was born in Yardley Gobion, and lived in Towcester.  Some sources have a rather obscure spelling for his place of birth. Alwyn died of wounds on 11 August 1917.
Ernest John Lambert - Cpl - 1st Oxon & Bucks LI Ernest was born in Yardley Gobion, the son of Isaac and Myranda. He enlisted into the Ox and Bucks in Wolverton and became Cpl. 9204.  He died on 12 October 1916 in the Mesopotamian theatre of war, being remembered at Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery.
John Charles Lambert - Rfm -12th London Regt John served as Rflmn. 473061, he was KIA on 26 November 1917 and is remembered on the Cambrai Memorial
Herbert Sanders - Pte - 13th Surrey Regt Herbert Harold Saunders as he can be found on most sources was born in Yardley Gobion  and enlisted into the Middlesex Regt., as no. 24543.  He was later transferred to the East Surry Regt., as Pte., 30587.  Herbert was KIA on 26 November 1917 and is remembered on the Memorial at Cambrai along with many other Commonwealth casualties
Arthur Jonathan Smith - 2nd Lieut - MGC Arthur was the son of Arthur and Amy Smith of Yardley Gobion, during the census of 1901 he was a boarder at Kempston School aged 16, his brother Victor was also a student there aged 13.  Arthur married a young lady called Marion. On the 28 March 1918, aged 33 Arthur was KIA and is remembered at Bouchoir New British Cemetery

C R Floyd - F/O Charles Richard (Dick) Floyd was the son of Dr. Stanley and Nellie Floyd of Toronto, Canada.  He served as Flying Officer, J/25830.  Charles is remembered in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey
R F Calman - P/O On official sources Ronald is known as Ronald Frank Calnan.  He served as Flying Officer (Nav.) J/35111.  Ronald was the son of Frank Henry and May Gertrude Calnan of Vancouver, BC, Canada.  He is remembered in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey
R N Macgillvary - P/O Ralph Northcliffe Macgillvray as he is found on official documents was the son of Andrew and Anna of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.  Ralph was a Pilot Officer (Nav) J/19367 and aged 23 years when he died in Yardley Gobion.  He is also remembered at Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey.
H C Millen - P/O Harry Charles Millen was the son of Charles Henry and Mary Millen of Mattawa, Ontario.  He served as Pilot Officer (Air Gnr) C/6073.  He was 36 years old when he was laid to rest at Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey
W J Mohring - P/O William James Mohring, the son of Willian and Nellie was only 21 years old when he and fellow crew members crashed in Yardly gobion.  He served as Flying Officer (Air Gnr) J/27960.  William is also remembered at Brookwood Military Cemetery.  William left a widow, Merle of Calgary, Canada.
M L Fullerton - P/O Melville Lloyd Fullerton was the son of Alexander and Helen Wray Fullerton of Toronto, Canada.  He served as Flying Officer (Air Bomber) J/28902.  Melville was only 20 years old when he died and he is remembered at Brookswood Cemetery, Surrey
D L Jacobs - P/O Daniel Louis was the son of Jack and Pauline.  He served as Flying Officer (Nav) J/29518.  He died aged 30 and is also remembered at Brookswood Cemetery, Surrey
L H Johnson - Sgt Lorne Herbert Johnston (as found on documents) was the son of Robert and Marjorie of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. He served as Sergeant (W.O /Air Gnr)   R/154789.  Lorne died aged 20 and is remembered along with the rest of his crew at Brookwood Military Cemetery.
